Soccer Recap: Bourne Comes Up Short

Bourne lost against East Bridgewater back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Canalmen lost 5-0 to the Vikings. While losing is never fun, Bourne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while East Bridgewater are ranked 26th).

Bourne's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for East Bridgewater, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1-2.

The future could be bright for both Bourne and East Bridgewater: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Canalmen will try to hand Fairhaven their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, East Bridgewater will look to extend Hull's three-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
