Football Recap: Heritage Piles Up the Points Against South Fork

Heritage not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 25, 2024 (when they won 35-7). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the South Fork Bulldogs 35-7. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Nathaniel Owens threw for 82 yards while completing 83.3% of his passes. Brody Gustad was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, John White rushed for 145 yards on only eight carries.

The victory snapped Heritage's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for South Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Heritage and South Fork will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Heritage sees the field they'll take on Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for South Fork, their break will end when they face Martin County at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
