Basketball Recap: Orange Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Orange can now relate to. They took a blow against the Terry Sanford Bulldogs on Friday, falling 64-27. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Terry Sanford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Breonna Roaf out in front who shot 42% from the field on her way to 13 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. Roaf has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 28 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ameya Brown, who went 8-for-12 en route to 20 points.

Orange's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Terry Sanford, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 25-3.

Orange does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Terry Sanford, they will square off against Southern School of Energy and Sustainability at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Terry Sanford surely won't give up without a fight.
