Volleyball Recap: St. Cecilia Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

St. Cecilia entered their tilt with Wood River on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Eagles. The Bluehawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

St. Cecilia easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-16.

Payton Sullivan paced St. Cecilia's offense, picking up 11 kills. Sullivan got some help from Kathryn Vanskiver and her 23 assists. Kerrigan Vargas controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. Cecilia's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Wood River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-16.

St. Cecilia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Tri County on the 2nd. As for Wood River, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against H&H on the 2nd.
