Basketball Preview: Gar-Field Red Wolves vs. Freedom Eagles
The Gar-Field Red Wolves will challenge the Freedom Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gar-Field has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Gar-Field turned things around against Massaponax on Thursday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 62-53.

Gar-Field found their leader in sophomore Jonathan Jason Bell, who went 9 for 19 en route to 22 points and seven steals. Bell's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Elijhah Walden was another key player, putting up ten points.
Gar-Field was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 74-70 heartbreaker at the hands of Mountain View. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Gar-Field's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-8. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.
Everything came up roses for Gar-Field against Freedom in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 72-37 win. Will Gar-Field repeat their success, or does Freedom have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
