Basketball Recap: Jade Holland's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Washington Union over Central Valley Christian

Washington Union lost against Central Valley Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Washington Union Panthers lost 59-35 to the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers.

Washington Union lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jade Holland, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. Holland is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleia Brown, who put up four points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Ally Lane continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central Valley Christian, putting up 30 points. Those 30 points gave Lane a new career-high.

Washington Union's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Central Valley Christian, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-7.

Washington Union has already played their next game, a 59-17 defeat against Hanford West on the 23rd. As for Central Valley Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-24 victory against Exeter on the 23rd.
