Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Franklin walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Verona Wildcats with a sharp 42-20 win on Friday. Considering the Sabers have won nine games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory keeps Franklin at an undefeated 11-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 42.3 points this season. As for Verona, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Coming up, Franklin will take on Bay Port on Friday. The Sabers will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine matchups. Verona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
