Volleyball Game Preview: Cyprus Pirates vs. Taylorsville Warriors

Cyprus is 0-3 against Taylorsville since March of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cyprus Pirates will take on the Taylorsville Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Cyprus is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Layton, falling 3-0.

While Cyprus was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Layton's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Taylorsville came up short against Provo on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taylorsville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-18.

Taylorsville now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cyprus, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Cyprus couldn't quite get it done against Taylorsville in their previous meeting on Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can Cyprus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
