Pyramid Lake had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 74-37 win over the Sage Ridge Scorpions. The Lakers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Pyramid Lake to victory were Lorena Eben and Kaitlin Mandell. Eben went 11-for-14 on her way to 28 points and eight steals, while Mandell went 9-for-18 en route to 24 points along with six boards and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, Eben now owns an excellent 45.8% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Chylie Querta, who posted seven points and three steals.

Pyramid Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Pyramid Lake pushed their record up to 23-5 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points over those games. As for Sage Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Pyramid Lake will face off against Smith Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Pyramid Lake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 matchups. Sage Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
