Faith Christian waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They had just enough and edged out the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Dylan Morgan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season.

Morgan wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Rine, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Faith Christian's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Faith Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Village Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Faith Christian at 4:00 p.m. on April 1.
