Volleyball Recap: Chase Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Wesley Mayse and Myleekaye Fincher

Chase lost against R-S Central back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilltoppers.

While Chase ultimately came up short, they really made R-S Central work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Chase had strong showings from MyleeKaye Fincher, who had seven aces, and Wesley Mayse, who had three aces. Fincher has been hot recently, having posted four or more aces the last four times she's played.

Chase's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for R-S Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Chase has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Asheville on the 13th. As for R-S Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Ashbrook on the 13th.
