Caldwell and West Elk are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2016, but not for long. The Bluejays will challenge the Patriots on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Caldwell and three for West Elk.

Caldwell saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Argonia.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16.

Meanwhile, West Elk came up short against Iola on Thursday and fell 2-0.

West Elk may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 16 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16.

West Elk's loss dropped their record down to 4-19-1. As for Caldwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Caldwell was able to grind out a solid win over West Elk in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Bluejays repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
