Baseball Recap: Sudan Comes Up Short

Sudan made up a huge gap compared to their last game against New Deal, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hornets fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hornets have suffered since March 7th.

Sudan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haden Provence, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Sudan's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for New Deal, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

While Sudan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
