Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles Cardinals vs. Grove City Greyhounds

The St. Charles Cardinals are taking a road trip to challenge the Grove City Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Charles is headed out to face Grove City after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Cardinals came out on top against Bexley by a score of 52-40 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Grove City over Canal Winchester in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Greyhounds blew the Indians out of the water with a 74-43 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Greyhounds had established a 27-point advantage.

St. Charles won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February, slipping by Grove City 42-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
