Volleyball Recap: Maury Beats Lake Taylor for Their Third Straight Victory

Maury waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lake Taylor Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Maury never let Lake Taylor on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-22.

Alex VanBenschoten paced Maury's offense, picking up ten kills. VanBenschoten got some help from Sawyer Richard and his 24 assists. Johnny March controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Maury's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Lake Taylor, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Maury will challenge rival Norcom at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lake Taylor is set to square off against their familiar foe Granby at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
