Volleyball Recap: Calhoun County Saints vs. North Eagles
Calhoun County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
While Calhoun County ultimately came up short, they really made North work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 24-26, 30-28.
Cassidy Pough paced Calhoun County's offense, picking up 19 kills. Pough got some help from Tyera Wannamaker and her nine assists. Alyssa Rucker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Calhoun County's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for North, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.
