Basketball Recap: Mankato West Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northfield, Mankato West was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Century Panthers by a score of 67-54. The Scarlets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Despite the loss, Century still got an impressive performance from McKenzie Perry, who posted 15 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Bella Ashton also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

The victory got Mankato West back to even at 1-1. As for Century, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.
