Baseball Recap: Canyon View Extends Winning Streak to Three

Canyon View had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the North Canyon Rattlers 16-1. Considering the Jaguars have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Carter Radwanski looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, Ethan Santoyo and Brock Berlan did most of the damage at the plate: Santoyo scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Berlan went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple. Rolando Valles was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Canyon View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Canyon View's record now sits at 8-2. As for North Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canyon View will take on Paradise Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Canyon View's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Paradise Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Canyon, they will square off against Desert Edge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Canyon has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
