Basketball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley was the 62-35 winner over Chapin when they last played one another back in November of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 72-58 bruising from the Eagles on Tuesday. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 17-11 in the first quarter.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chapin, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Spring Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against J.L. Mann at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chapin, they and Dutch Fork will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played.
