Basketball Recap: Rich Township Skates Past Bogan with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Rich Township's strategy against Bogan on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Raptors blew the Bengals out of the water with a 79-51 final score. The Raptors pushed the score to 65-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bengals had little chance of recovering from.

Leading Rich Township to victory were Kavon Ammons and Jeremiah Weatherford. Ammons shot 56% from the field on his way to 22 points and six steals, while Weatherford went 6-for-7 en route to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Those five boards gave Weatherford a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Cooper, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 11 points.

The win was the third in a row for Rich Township, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 74.0 points this season. As for Bogan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Rich Township and Bogan will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Raptors are set to take on their familiar foe Thornton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bogan will square off against rival Christian Fenger Academy at 4:55 p.m. on Thursday.
