Basketball Game Preview: Northridge Vikings vs. Liberty Union Lions

The Northridge Vikings will head out to square off against the Liberty Union Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Northridge came up short against Johnstown-Monroe and fell 51-38. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Johnnies: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty Union). They came out on top against Crooksville by a score of 61-50 on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their 24-point performance the matchup before.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Liberty Union, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7.

Northridge came up short against Liberty Union in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, falling 52-43. Can Northridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
