Basketball Recap: Oakland Tech Falls Despite Big Games from Jasen Davis and Xavier Williams

Oakland Tech came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 77-54 to the Salesian College Preparatory Pride. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 63-55 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Oakland Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Xavier Williams, who posted 13 points, and Jasen Davis, who put up 11 points. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Kesyn Haggins was another key player, putting up six points.
