Preview: Crowell Wildcats vs. Munday Moguls
Crowell is 1-9 against Munday since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Crowell Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Munday Moguls at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Crowell pushed their score all the way to 67 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 87-67 defeat at the hands of Benjamin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in January (66), Crowell still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Munday pushed their score all the way to 60 last Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 81-60 defeat to Benjamin might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Munday can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 983rd, while Benjamin is ranked 329th).
Crowell has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Munday, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.
Crowell came up short against Munday in their previous matchup back in January, falling 64-60. Can Crowell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
