While West Jessamine put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Boyle County. The Colts had just enough and edged out the Rebels 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Colts sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Jacob Cissell tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over 5.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because West Jessamine is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 15-17 otherwise.
On the hitting side, West Jessamine saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Poor, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
West Jessamine's win bumped their record up to 20-18. As for Boyle County, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 32-8.
