Softball Recap: Blue Ridge Comes Up Short

Blue Ridge lost against Villa Grove back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights lost 10-2 to the Blue Devils. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Roos was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Lillian Enger was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Blue Ridge's record now sits at 2-5. As for Villa Grove, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Blue Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Cumberland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Villa Grove, they will head out to square off against St. Joseph-Ogden at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
