Football Game Preview: Taylor Allderdice Dragons vs. Butler Golden Tornado + How To Watch

On Friday, Taylor Allderdice was beaten by USO [University Prep/Sci-Tech/Obama Academy] 38-6. The contest marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Butler's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 35-27 win over University. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Golden Tornado's disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 171st in Pennsylvania, while the Hawks are ranked 11th in West Virginia).

Taylor Allderdice better keep an eye on Mark Klemz. He was instrumental in Butler's win, rushing for 187 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Klemz is now averaging an impressive 106.7 rushing yards per game.

One reason for the win was Butler's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Nicco Baggetta, Beau Burchett, and Jacob Kollinger, who each picked up one sack apiece. Butler got some further help from Baggetta: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles.

The win made it two in a row for Butler and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.5 points over those games. As for Taylor Allderdice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
