It was a good run, but Merryville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Sulphur Golden Tors by a score of 4-3.

Merryville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leighlah Pruitt, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Merryville now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Sulphur, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merryville will challenge Elton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sulphur, they will take on South Beauregard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
