Football Game Preview: Bristow Pirates vs. Sulphur Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Bristow Pirates will square off against the Sulphur Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Bristow blew Mannford out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Mannford got their revenge. Bristow fell just short of Mannford by a score of 21-18. Bristow has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Bristow got top-tier performance from Promised Johnson, who rushed for 101 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 243 yards and one TD. Bristow's leading receiver Javon Freeman was Johnson's top target yet again, picking up 153 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Sulphur put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past Lone Grove to the tune of 53-21. With the Bulldogs ahead 40-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Bristow's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sulphur, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Bristow was dealt a bruising 41-0 defeat at the hands of Sulphur when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Pirates, Cash Matlack (who rushed for 137 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
