Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emma Mauney and Ella Mauney Lead Falkner to Victory

Falkner won the last time they faced Houlka and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 56-36 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Falkner was led to victory by Ella Mauney and Emma Mauney. Ella posted 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Emma dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. Ella is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caylee Washington, who had six points.

Falkner was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Falkner now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Houlka, their loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Falkner will host Wheeler at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. The matchup will give Falkner their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Houlka, they will square off against East Union at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. The Urchins' defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
