The Stroudsburg Mountaineers will take on the Liberty Hurricanes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Stroudsburg hadn't beaten Emmaus on the road since April 18, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Mountaineers came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 6-2.

Ryan Pacitti was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Stroudsburg: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Knight, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty). They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over Pocono Mountain West on Thursday. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Rocco Sciarra spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Dylan Metzgar was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Jacob Strong was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Liberty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pocono Mountain West only posted an OBP of .304.
Liberty's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Stroudsburg, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Stroudsburg might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Liberty in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can the Mountaineers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
