Basketball Recap: Clearwater Falls Despite Big Games from Kyden Heniger and Ari Tirado

Clearwater lost against Seminole back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clearwater Tornadoes took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seminole Warhawks.

Clearwater's loss came despite strong showings from Ari Tirado and Kyden Heniger. Tirado went 8 of 16 en route to 20 points, while Heniger posted 17 points and seven assists. The dominant performance gave Tirado a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kris Foote, who scored nine points.

Clearwater has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Seminole, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Clearwater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-50 defeat against Carrollwood Day on the 18th. As for Seminole, they will head out to square off against Tarpon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
