Volleyball Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Shakamak Lakers

The Princeton Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Shakamak Lakers at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday.

On Thursday, Princeton didn't have quite enough to beat Mt. Vernon and fell 3-2. The Tigers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as their game on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Princeton actually scored more points across those five sets (105-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 27-25, 25-21, 16-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Shakamak made easy work of South Vermillion on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lakers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-20.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Shakamak, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
