Softball Recap: William Byrd Comes Up Short

William Byrd lost against Franklin County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Terriers took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Terriers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

William Byrd's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Franklin County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. William Byrd will take on rival Staunton River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Franklin County is set to face off against their familiar foe Fleming at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
