Basketball Recap: Malachi Joseph's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Central over Brusly

North Central lost against Brusly back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hurricanes took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

North Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Joseph, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sherman Smith, who had 14 points and five rebounds.

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central and Franklin Parish will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played. As for Brusly, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Parkview Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on December 4.
