Softball Recap: Owyhee Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Owyhee never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over the Idaho Falls Tigers. Considering the Storm have won three matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hailey Brennan tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Grace Brooks was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that she launched this season. Bella Fazzio was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

Owyhee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Owyhee's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Idaho Falls, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Owyhee will welcome Nampa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Owyhee's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Nampa's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Idaho Falls, they will be taking part in a tournament against Skyview at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
