Football Recap: South O'Brien Takes a Loss

South O'Brien was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Gehlen Catholic Jays 42-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 56-21 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

South O'Brien's record is now 1-6. As for Gehlen Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, South O'Brien will venture away from home to face off against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will be up against the Rebels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Gehlen Catholic, they will host West Sioux at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' defense has only allowed 8.9 points per game this season, so the Jays' offense will have their work cut out for them.
