Baseball Recap: Knox Central Comes Up Short

Knox Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Batavia Bulldogs, falling 12-2. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Knox Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Engle, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Knox Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Batavia, their win bumped their record up to 3-5-1.

Looking ahead, Knox Central will head out on the road to take on Pineville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Batavia, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Waubonsie Valley at 4:30 p.m.
