Volleyball Recap: Catholic Central Gets the Win

While Catholic Central's win against Forest Hills Eastern wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars skirted past the Hawks 2-1. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Catholic Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Catholic Central can attribute much of their success to Cara Wolf, who had 13 digs and four assists. Wolf is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Despite the loss, Forest Hills Eastern still got an impressive performance from Elle Hollander, who had six digs and two aces. Emily Wolter also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Catholic Central's win bumped their record up to 32-12-1. As for Forest Hills Eastern, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-20-2.

Looking ahead, Catholic Central will take on Ludington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Forest Hills Eastern, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Coopersville on the 28th.
