Volleyball Recap: Shrewsbury Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Shrewsbury waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Acton-Boxborough Revolution. For the Colonials, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Revolution walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Shrewsbury wouldn't go down easily and took Acton-Boxborough into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-27, 15-8.

Lauren Albertson paced Shrewsbury's offense, picking up 12 kills. Albertson got some help from Gracie Hester and her 21 assists. Hester was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Shrewsbury's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Acton-Boxborough, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Shrewsbury will head out on the road to challenge Wachusett Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Acton-Boxborough, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Westborough at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
