Preview: Central Dragons vs. Bellefonte Raiders
Central is 9-1 against Bellefonte since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Central Dragons will look to defend their home court against the Bellefonte Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Central is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bellefonte in Pennsylvania (Central is ranked 277th, while Bellefonte is ranked 579th).
Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Central beat Penns Valley Area 38-33. The victory was just what Central needed coming off of a 54-26 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Bellefonte's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 78-51 loss at the hands of Clearfield. Bellefonte has struggled against Clearfield recently, as their game on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Central's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Bellefonte, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Central against Bellefonte in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 59-27 win. Does Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bellefonte turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
