Roosevelt extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Kennedy. They blew past the Golden Cougars 8-2. Winning may never get old, but the Rough Riders sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Ivan Gonzalez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddoxx Davila, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Roosevelt's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-17 when he doesn't).

Roosevelt's record is now 9-17. As for Kennedy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Roosevelt will take on South East at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
