Football Recap: Oak Hill Extends Winning Streak to Three

Oak Hill entered their tilt with Oceanside on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Mariners with points to spare, taking the game 28-14. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 28-20 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the defeat, Oceanside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Wyatt Banow rushed for 128 yards and one touchdown.

Oak Hill's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Oceanside, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Oak Hill will venture away from home to challenge John Bapst Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders' defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so the Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Oceanside, they will head out to take on Medomak Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
