Volleyball Recap: Laina Williams Key Part of Team Effort in Indians Win + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Vidalia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Savannah Bluejackets on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Vidalia easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17.

Vidalia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Laina Williams, who had seven aces and four digs. Those four digs gave Williams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Bates, who had five aces.

They weren't the only good server: Vidalia was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Vidalia's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Savannah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Coincidentally, Vidalia and Savannah will both be playing Toombs County the next time they take the court. The Bluejackets will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
