Baseball Game Preview: Lewis County Panthers vs. Westbrook Christian Warriors

The Lewis County Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Westbrook Christian Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lewis County will be strutting in after a victory while Westbrook Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lewis County duked it out with Springville on Friday. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 5-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Kolt Skelton's shutout, as he gave up just five hits.

On the hitting side, Maddox Tanner was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Westbrook Christian has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.65 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They fell just short of Hokes Bluff by a score of 11-9. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Westbrook Christian dropped their record down to 17-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Lewis County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.
