It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eureka had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Wells Leopards as they made off with a 46-21 victory. The Vandals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Megan Johnson was her usual excellent self, going 6-for-10 en route to 15 points along with six boards and five assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Anna Mckay was another key player, putting up 12 points.
The win was the 12th in a row for Eureka, bringing their record for this year to 21-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.7 points over those games. As for Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-11.
Eureka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-34 victory against McDermitt on the 15th. Wells does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
