Basketball Recap: Burlington Comes Up Short on the Road Against Holyoke

Burlington had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 63-39 to the Holyoke Dragons on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost four in a row.

Burlington's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Weston Schaal, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 12 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grajeda Noe, who posted a point along with seven boards and three steals.

Holyoke has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Burlington will be taking part in a tournament against Goodland at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holyoke, they will welcome Brush at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
