Softball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Franklin County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 13-2 to the Liberty County Bulldogs on Thursday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Seahawks, who until this game were averaging 3.04 runs allowed.

Franklin County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mateah McClendon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Liberty County, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Franklin County has already played their next contest, a 6-5 win against Port St. Joe on the 8th. As for Liberty County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Cottondale on the 8th.
