Baseball Recap: Northampton Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middlesex, Northampton was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Broadwater Academy Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Vikings last Friday, they had to take a 13-3 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Trent Ferebee, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Caleb Champion also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Northampton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Broadwater Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northampton will challenge Northumberland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Broadwater Academy, they will square off against Hampton Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
