Basketball Game Preview: Piper Pirates vs. Seaman Vikings

Piper is 0-6 against Seaman since December of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Piper Pirates will challenge the Seaman Vikings. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Piper comes in on six and Seaman on 20.

Piper is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Lansing to the tune of 82-33 on Friday. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Seaman beat Shawnee Heights 64-54 on Tuesday. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 80th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Piper's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.9 points. As for Seaman, their record now sits at 15-0.

Piper couldn't quite finish off Seaman when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 69-67. Can Piper avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
