Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian and Magnolia squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Trinity Christian had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Blue Eagles by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

While Trinity Christian ultimately came up short, they really made Magnolia work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 26-24, 22-25, 15-6.

When it comes to explaining why Trinity Christian lost, don't look at Lainey Jackson. Despite the final result, she had 31 digs and six aces. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.

Trinity Christian's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Magnolia, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Trinity Christian nor Magnolia have any future games scheduled.
